You don't always notice it happening. One day they can't sit up. Then suddenly, they can — and they're already reaching for the next thing.
Studio Brae milestone sessions are designed for the stages that deserve to be remembered: the sitter session at 6–9 months when their personality is just beginning to shine, and the first birthday — smash cake and all — when you realize an entire year has somehow already passed.
These sessions are simple, playful, and completely baby-led. No forced smiles. No rigid posing. Just your child, as they are, in a space that's fully prepared to celebrate them.

We follow your little one's pace — completely. If they need a snack, a cuddle, or a moment to warm up, we take it. The session unfolds around them, not the other way around.

the process
01. INQUIRE
Reach out and share your baby's birthdate, the milestone you're celebrating, and any ideas you have in mind. I'll take it from there.
02. RESERVE + PLAN
Your session is secured with a deposit and a signed contract. I'll send your milestone session guide with wardrobe options, what to bring, and everything you need to set your little one up for a great session.
03. SESSION DAY
Bring them in exactly as they are — curious, wiggly, delightful. I'll engage them with gentle interaction, natural movement, and a calm energy that draws out genuine expressions. Family members are always welcome to be part of the session.
04. GALLERY DELIVERY
Your preview gallery arrives within one week. Select your favorites, and your final edited images will be delivered within two weeks. Prints available for pick-up or shipping.
Studio Wardrobe — The Fun Part
Between our studio wardrobe, cake smash setups, and carefully curated styling options for babies and toddlers, your only job is to bring your baby and show up ready to celebrate.
Our milestone guide will walk you through outfit options, what works best for each age and stage, and everything you need to feel prepared for the session.
They’ll be grown before we know it.
Milestone sessions are available year-round for ages 6, 9, and 12 months — or any stage worth celebrating.

Milestone sessions begin at $475 and include 10 hand-edited images in color and black & white, studio wardrobe access for up to 3 outfits, a $20 print credit, and a preview gallery within one week. Full gallery upgrades are available.

Milestone sessions are perfect at 6 months (sitting stage), 9 months (standing, crawling, all the personality), and 12 months (first birthday + cake smash). That said, any stage worth remembering is the right time to book.

First birthday sessions include a fully styled cake smash setup — the cake stand, neutral balloons, and accessories are all prepared for you. You're welcome to bring your own custom cake, or I can connect you with a local baker.
