I’m Savannah — a Houston newborn, maternity, and family photographer based in The Woodlands, Texas, where I was born and raised.
I’m a mama of two (Beckam and Raelyn), a firefighter’s wife, and someone who came to photography the long way around — through a Marketing degree, a calligraphy business, a lot of journals, and eventually, the moment I held my first baby and realized that nothing I’d ever created mattered more than this.
I know I’m right where I’m supposed to be. And I’m so glad you’re here.
How I Got Here
I grew up the daughter of a single mother — the kind of upbringing that makes you acutely aware of how quickly things change, and how much the ordinary moments are actually the extraordinary ones.
I was always making something. Practicing my handwriting every summer before school. Filling journals. Building websites, designing yearbooks, running a calligraphy business for weddings. I had a Marketing degree from Sam Houston State, a full creative toolkit… and no idea what I was actually made for yet.
Then in 2022, I had my son Beckam. And everything shifted.
I started noticing things I’d always walked past — the way light fell across his face in the morning, the curl of his fingers, the sounds he made before he could speak. Suddenly, capturing those details wasn’t just a creative impulse. It felt like a responsibility.
My daughter Raelyn arrived in 2023, and with her came a deepening of everything I already knew to be true: these moments don’t wait. They don’t repeat. And they deserve to be preserved with intention.
This past season of life has reminded our family of that truth in the most personal way. My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer and let me be the first to tell you, real life has a way of stripping away everything that doesn’t matter and leaving you with what does. Every session I photograph now carries the weight of that knowledge. I’m not just taking pictures. I’m making sure your family has something to hold onto.
Studio Brae has always been built on intention and authenticity. That hasn’t changed. If anything, it’s only gotten deeper.
My Heart is with Mama
Motherhood is the muse behind everything I create. I know your heart so well — the ache to freeze time, the longing for your littles to stay little, the quiet wish to remember it all more clearly than you will.
I know the exhaustion. I know the 2 a.m. feeds and the mornings when you’re running on nothing but love and cold coffee. I know the pride that’s so big it makes your chest hurt. And I know how easy it is to forget, in the blur of it all, to stop and document it.
That’s where I come in.
Photography, for me, is where beauty meets authenticity. Every family’s love story is different — and I want yours told in a way that’s unmistakably, completely you.
My sessions aren’t about posing. They’re about connection. The little ones who won’t sit still. The mama who’s tired but laughing anyway. The dad who doesn’t know where to put his hands but looks at his baby like she hung the moon. Those are the images that end up on your walls. Those are the ones you’ll cry over someday.
I photograph families across Houston and The Woodlands — and I put the same level of care into every single session. Clean, organic editing. Thoughtful styling. A done-for-you process that takes the stress completely off your plate. You just show up and be present. I’ll take care of the rest.
